One Sunday morning I was playing the organ prelude for the Tabata Branch Sacrament Meeting. Martha, a Young Adult came and sat down on the bench next to me. She smiled and handed me a package. “A gift for you,” she said. I was very appreciative and thanked her. Shoes! I was excited to wear them the next Sunday and show her they fit perfectly. I really liked them. I do not know how she was able to get the correct shoe size.

It was such a wonderful afternoon visiting with this wonderful Pastor and his family. He invited us to come for a visit. They surprised us by digging underneath the leaves and vines at the side of the church and dug out a big watermelon. 😊. We were then fed a delicious meal. His wife gave me some green bananas and a wrap to take as gifts. We enjoyed their company very much.

Our friends visit to our villa. Before we ate lunch Elder Steiner played Paper, Rock and Scissors with them. They loved it! We had such a great time with them. They are a wonderful family.

The children love music. At times they come up to the organ during the prelude music and I play a couple of Primary songs as they join in. I like this picture of Steven sitting at the organ.😊

Asia is one of my piano students. She likes to cook. She takes orders and prepares the food for customers. We get to have one of her meals each Saturday. We had her over to our villa along with her niece Karen. She wanted to learn how to make banana muffins, we had a great time.

We are pleased with the two health center projects that are moving forward. It has been very encouraging and interesting watching these projects progress. This project was adding a 2nd floor to the Health Center in a very poor area of Dar es Salaam. It will provide medical for pediatric patients. We have 5 School’s that have received approval for renovations. It is good. We got to meet with the new municipality director recently and look forward to continuing the process for these schools.

The coke bottle was our guide of knowing where to turn when we first came to Dar to find our villa.

We are having opportunities to eat more seafood. The lobsters were straight from the ocean from a local fisherman. They were good. Our friend prepared and cooked them for us. The fish was a gift. We are not sure what it is called but it was very mild and good. He was surprised that we were not going to eat the eyes. We have now had octopus, eel, and crab. The octopus was quite chewy but all of them tasted good, very mild.

It is wonderful to see some of these Young Adults going on missions. We are grateful for them and proud of them.

We had a fun visit to the Makumbusho Village Museum. The variety of huts represented the different tribes.
